Wow, did I score this weekend on Craig’s List! And I have to owe this to actually being a little slow at work. Often I forget about looking on Craig’s List but since I had the time I thought why not?
The outdoor dinner party season is almost here and outdoor dining chairs is what I was desperetely lacking in! My orignial concept was to do mismatched old cool wooden chairs. That worked until it started to rain. These chairs were old to begin with and the rain turned them into rickety messes! Wrought Iron! That was the solution! But how and when? With my scouring great Flea Market time basically unavailable I thought I would peruse Craig’s List. The ad said 6 chairs for $100. The picture made them look boring, but basic enough to be ok. And what an immediate fix! Afterall the Florida gang will be here in a month and I had to get cracking!
The chairs were located about 45 mins away and with the price of gas I was just praying we would love them. Somehow, miracle, it wasn’t hard to convince Marc to come with me with his station wagon (would they all fit???) and long story short, we LOVED the chairs, the guy was on time and very nice and the near perfect condition chairs (which he orignially bought for about $125 a piece) fit perfectly into the car!
We’re all set for the Summer dinner party season to start!

Dear Leslie,
If you remember, all the way back to Warner Rd, in PA, you might (I hope) remember me. Your sister Luann was my dearest & best friend for several years back then. Our lives took us in separate directions but I’ve always remembered her & how close we were. You look & sound wonderful. I felt like I was snooping as I read all your entries but they are so interesting. I loved the video of Lu & John in Italy and hearing your voices! I’ve never blogged before but I think you can get my e mail address from this. Send me a note and please let Luann know I would love to hear from her too. Miriam
