Cozy Cat of the Week: Lulu and Newton

By Leslie Patson

Allow me to introduce Lulu and Newton Baldwin-Botev. Lulu is a tortoise Persian and Newton is the very elegant silver and white. Here is what their mother has to say about them (what a fascinating pair these two are!!!!)

“Newton is 13 years old, and is a native new yorker with blue blood pedigree. He was named after Sir Isaac Newton, and the Apple Newton, which was being sold when he was born. His grandfather is a famous showcat, but as good parents, we were determined that he would not suffer that fate. He has exciting days, practicing his eating and sleeping skils, as well as trying every comfortable position in the house to see which will make for the best dreams. His favorite dream is about eating a delicious grill tuna steak in Paris, while also drinking a nice sparkling water. His favorite time of day is breakfast. He loves to watch movies – and he has to admit that his favorite is also his mothers, “The Sound of Music”.”

“Lulu is 7 years old, and is a native West Hollywooder, although her parentage is russian. She is named after her mother’s grandmother, whose eyes looked remarkedly like hers. Her favorite exercise is to jump on her mother’s stomach in the morning only while she’s sleeping. She accompanies this exertion with a loud yell of happiness. It reminds her of being on a trampoline, and is irresistible. Her other favorite activity is practicing giving arm and shoulder massages, which is much prefered by others to the jumping activity. She also likes to sing at the top of her lungs, and since she was taught russian as a girl, she likes to sing only in that language.”

  1. Marc Says:

The bios of these cats are really hideous…hmh, I mean, hilarious! My guess is, Newton is a big Baudelaire lover, while Lulu probably liked Hunter S. Thompson when she was younger. In SNL lingo, I would say: they’re both so flamboyant.
Keep up the good works, furs!
